Abstract

Microwave digestion graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry method for determination of cadmium in rabbits was developed.Using microwave digestion technique, under the conditions of step elevating temperature and heating power, rabbit samples were decomposed completely by nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide;then the cadmium was determined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. The results showed that there is a good linear relationship in the concentration of 0~60.0 μg /L for cadmium;the correlation coefficient of lead is 0.9998;the detection limit is 0.0365mg/kg.Relative standard deviations of cadmium for 8 replicate determinations of rabbits samples were 3.147%.The recovery rates were 97.0% ~ 105.8%.The proposed method is simple, convenient, fast and accurate, which can be used for daily batch trace determining of cadmium in rabbits.
