Abstract

Metaphor has become not only a linguistic phenomenon,but also an important cognitive technique for human being.This paper,by way of Lakoff's theory of and quite a few news examples,attempts to offer a cognitive linguistic perspective on conceptual metaphor applied in the political discourses and analyses its strong impact.
