Abstract
Objective To determine the efficacy and safety of duloxetine in the treatment of depression. Methods 72 patients with depression were randomly assigned to study group(duloxetine) and control group(paroxetine) for 6 weeks. The clinical efficacy was evaluated using HAMD as well as CGI-SI,and the side effects were evaluated by TESS after 1、2、4、6 weeks treatment. Results After treatment,HAMD score in both groups were lower than those before treatment at each time point, and the differences were statistically significant(P0.05 and P0.01).There were no significant difference in HAMD score and clinical effect between the two groups(P0.05),6 weeks after treatment,CGI-SI scores in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the differences were significant(P0.01),but the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P 0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions showed no significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Duloxetine and paroxetine are both effective and safe in patients with depressive disorder.
