A Preliminary Study of Treating Subacute Grave Hepatitis with Sanjun Tui-huang Decoction

Abstract

Objective: To explore the effect of treating subacute grave hepatitis (SHG) with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods: 86 patients on the foundation that adopts comprehensive basic therapy were enrolled and randomized into treatment group received Sanjun Tuihuang decoction and control groups according 2:1 ratio.Results: 76 patients completed the study. After using medicine 28 days, treatment group had notable improvement of clinical symptom and the liver function, reduced serum TBil 256μmol/L and raised prothrombin activity (PTA) 18.5% in average; total, efficently reached 80.4% 12 weeks later, follow to visit treatment group survival rate was 76.8% , and each clinical index was better than control group (P0.05) .Conclusion:Sanjun Tuihuang decoction can alleviate symptom, improve liver function, decrease mortality rate. It has very siginticantly effect on SGH.
