The analysis of 1708 cases of drug abuse in Liuzhou city

Objective To Survey the characteridastics of drug abuse in LiuZhou city and explore the way of preventing drug abuse Methods An investigation was carried out by the means of interview and questionnaire without asking for their names among 1708 herion addicts who took compulsory detoxification in Compulsory Drug Detoxification in 1999 Results The phenomenon of drug abuse in LiuZhou,67% happened in old city region,41% took place amorg young peoples who have not father or mother,21% happened in the suberb.All of the 1708 cases were herion abusers,amorg them,86% abused other drugs at the same time.Especially abused valium?triazolam at the same time Conclusions High risk groups,high risk districts,high risk families are three important factors of drug abuse.We suggest that drug abuse preventive education should facus on three aspects above
