Characters in Chinese and Japanese Interact in the Writing Systems

This paper discusses mutual influences of characters in Chinese and Japanese. It is pointed out that China and Japan are within the sphere of influence of Chinese characters, and Chinese characters have been exerting great influences on Japanese characters for a long time. More and more indications show that characters in Japanese have considerable effects on Chinese writing system.
