Abstract
In this paper, synthesis methyl was prepared from lauric acid and methanol by two-step esterification method, using concentrated sulfuric acid as catalyst. The dosage of catalyst, methanol and oil, reaction temperature, and flow velocity of methanol has been measured. The experiments show that the optimum experimental conditions have been determined. At the first step, the mass ratio of methanol is 80%,reaction temperature 65±2℃ and catalyst dosage 0.5%.At the second step, the flow velocity of methanol is 1.5mL/min and the experimental temperature is 100±5℃.
