Comparison of applications of Remifentanil or Fentanyl combined with Propofol in abortion

Objective To study the anesthetic effects,safety and dosage of Remifentanil or Fentanyl combined with Propofol in abortion.Methods Forty cases of female patients aborted artificially were randomly divided into two groups:Remifentanil group and Fentanyl group,each of them contained 20 cases.Analepsia time after operation,recovery time of orientation,physical movement,low blood pressure,respiratory depression and postoperative pain were observed.Results Orientation recovery time of Remifentanil combined Propofol group was superior to Fentanyl group.Systolic blood pressure in two groups began to decrease a certain degree in the first two minutes after operation,and the incidence of respiratory depression was 35%~40%.Postoperative pain in both groups had no difference by VAS score.Conclusion Remifentanil combined with Propofol can not reduce the dosage of Propofol.Remifentanil combined with Propofol for abortion has the advantage of quick recovery,but the circulatory and respiratory depression should pay attention.
