Abstract
Taking cut carnation(Dianthus caryophyllus cv.Master) flowers as test materials, physiological effects of nano-silver(NS) treatment on senescence of cut carnation(Dianthus caryophyllus cv.Master) flowers were investigated. The results showed that the NS treatment could significantly prolong the vase life of cut carnation flowers, and effectively delay the decrease in their relative fresh weight and the degradation rate of soluble protein in petals. In addition,it was found that NS treatment could obviously increase the activities of CAT and SOD in petals and decrease their relative conductivity during the vase period.
