Explorative Studies on the Historical Sequel of the Yuan Dynasty History

In the early years of Yong Le in the Ming Dynasty, Hu Cuizhong changed the history presentation methods from biographical series to annalistic styles, and compiled a book entitled the Historical Sequel of the Yuan Dynasty History. The book supplemented some governance and ruling deeds from Cheng Zong onwards and the country-wide affairs in the Shun Di regime. In tha book , the author' s commentary was presented in line with Confucianist ways between Kings-and-Ministers.Being short of length, the book is still very convenient for critical skimming. During the years of Jia Jing, Zhou Fujun compiled another book called the Error Correction of the Yuan Dynasty History in annalistic style. The author took a stand of an apologist and a departmental selfishness of the Han Nationality while evaluation the Yuan Dynasty History. Ite annals and historical writings embodied the name rectification advocated by Cofucius, which followed Confucianist's ideas to appreciate tha Song Dynasty and depreciate the Yuan Dynasty. But, on the other hand, the book also corrected some historical errors recorded in the Yuan Dynasty History.
