Evaluation on County Economic Strength of Hebei Province

Abstract
Based on the second economic census data and relevant statistic data of Hebei Province,using the principal components analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis,the economic development level of 136 counties in Hebei Province was evaluated synthetically.In terms of their comprehensive strength,the 136 counties in Hebei Province can be categorized into five groups,appropriate measures shall be taken in accordance with the features of county economy in these five categories.Therefore,precise economic strength appraisal would be advisable to promote comprehensive strength of the provincial economies.
