Abstract
Objective To determine the total polyphenolie in pomegrana peel by Folin-Ciocaheu colorimetry. Methods Total polyphenolie compounds in the different places of pomegrana peel were determined by Folin-Ciocaheu colorimetry(λ=760nm),and the standard reference was gallic acid. Results The linear range of standard curve was 0.0245~0.2450 mg/ml(r=0.9991,n=6),the average recovery of gallic acid was 103.3% with corresponding RSD of 1.08%,the precision RSD was 0.31%,the repetition RSD was 0.51%,and the stability RSD of 0.65%. Conclusion The method is convenient, fast, and reliable for the determination of the total polyphenolie in pomegranate peel.
