Abstract

Two regress models which described the relationship between cucumber fruit fresh weight and fruit volume were developed through three different sow date experiments. The result showed that model I simulated results agreed well with measured ones. When using the model I, the coefficient of determination (R2) and the root mean squared error (RMSE) between simulated and measured fruit fresh weight based on the 1∶1 line are 0.95 g and 24 g; when using the model II, the coefficient of determination (R2) and the root mean squared error (RMSE) between simulated and measured fruit fresh weight based on the 1∶1 line are 0.91 g and 40 g. Using model I to predict the fruit fresh weight can significantly increase the prediction accuracy.
