Abstract

A novel flow injection chemiluminescence (CL) system for caprolactam determination was proposed. It was based on that CL signal of Ce(Ⅳ)-SO_3~(2-) was strongly enhanced in the presence of caprolactam. The system showed a linear range of 4.0×10~(-7)~1.0×10~(-5) (g/mL) for caprolactam. The relative standard deviation (n=11) was 2.1% for 4.0×10~(-7) (g/mL) caprolactam and the detection limit was 1×10~(-7) (g/mL). The method was applied to the determination of caprolactam in polycaprolactam samples with satisfactory results.
