Abstract

This paper reviewed characteristics, mechanism of formation, and methods of segregation of microsatellite DNA; this paper also analyzed the application of microsatellite in the fields of the map of gene, the assignment of QTL, marker assisted selection, genetic diversity in group, relationship among breeds, and the prediction of herosis.
