Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To study the clinical efficacy of Rabeprazole in combination with Deanxit in treating patients with non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease complicating depression and anxiety.METHODS:109 patients with non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease complicating depression and anxiety were randomly divided into two groups:57 patients(Group A)were assigned to receive Rabeprazole(20 mg)bid before breakfast and supper respectively plus Deanxit(10.5 mg)bid after breakfast and lunch respectively, and 52(Group B)to receive Rabeprazole(20 mg)bid before breakfast and lunch respectively. After treatment for 6 weeks, the therapeutic efficacy in the two groups was evaluated based on the symptom scores.RESULTS:There were significant differences between the two groups on cardinal symptoms such as heartburn, chest pain and sour regurgitation as well as in excellence rate(86.5% in Group A vs.67.3% in Group B)and total effective rate(96.1% in Group A vs.82.3% in Group B)(P0.05).CONCLUSION:Rabeprazole in combination with Deanxit has been proved to be one of the most effective treatment schemes for patients with non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease complicating depression and anxiety.
