Adjustment of Industrial Structure and Sustainable and Coordinated Development of Regional Economy

The transformation of industrial structure is not only an important propelling force for economic growth but also a key to a sustainable and coordinated development of regional economy. Therefore, in order to eradicate the deformed industrial structure and the low level overproduction of some industrial organizations, the pace of the adjustment of industrial structure and process of urbanization must be quickened by focusing on the adjustment of industrial structure, fostering the leading industry and revitalizing the small and medium enterprises. Only on the basis of these measures can we eliminate the phenomena of the maladjustment of industrial structure, boost the development of economy in the undeveloped central and western regions and narrow the gap between the eastern part of China and those undeveloped regions.
