Investigation and analysis on drug utilization of psychotropic substances prescriptions for outpatients in our hospital

Abstract

AIM: To investigate the usage of psychotropic substances and advance rational usage of drug. METHODS: Prescriptions of psychotropic substances in our hospital outpatients were investigated and analysed by defining daily dose and the drug utilization index. RESULTS: The average drug utilization index was 1.00 or so.The prescriptions for more than 4 wk were 79.09 %.The prescriptions in combination with more than of two drugs were 13.14 % . CONCLUTION: Usage of psychotropic substances is basic rational in our hospital,but drug usage time is too long and ratios of drug combination are too much.
