Abstract

7 spore-producing antagonistic bacteria strains were isolated and screened from several different regions by using Botrytis cinerea as the indicator bacteria through plate cultivation method (the improved agar plate diffusion method) in the experiments. A strain named L-72 with a rather higher antagonistic activity was obtained after secondary screening by liquid state fermentation. Thus the morphology characteristics, physiological and biochemical properties and 16S rDNA sequence of strain L-72 were further studied. The L-72 strain was finally identified as a kind of Bacillus. The similarity of the 16S rDNA sequences between L-72 strain and other standard strains were below to 97% ,so it was identified that strain L-72 was a new species which has nearest genetic relationship with Bacillus velezensis and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens.
