Abstract

Objective To assess the clinic effect of biofeedback treatment for functional constipation.Methods All of 46 patients were enlisted to take the biofeedback training in the clinic.Assessing bowel symptoms and anorectal manometry were recorded and compared before and after the therapy.Results After treatment,the symptoms were got improved.The rectal volume sensory threshold and the maximal volume of tolerance and the anorectal suppressed reflex threshold were decreased(P0.05).Conclusion Biofeedback treatment is effective for functional constipation.
