Different methods of injection of lidocaine in the prevention of children with propofol injection pain

Objective To compare pre-injection and mix-lidocaine to reduce propofol injection pain for children.Methods Choosing 120 veinous general anesthesia children patients,they were randomly allocated into two groups: Group A patients were injected propofol after lidocaine(0.5 mg/kg)injected 30 s,Group B patients were injected lidocaine and propofol mixed liquid.Using a four-point scale evaluate the effect on the prevention of pain on the propofol injection.Result 68.3% patients of pain in group A as compared with 36.7% in group B(P 0.05).Conclusion Lidocaine and propofol mixed liquid can effectively alleviate the children of propofol injection pain.
