Study of poisoning severity score in evaluating severity in cases of poisoning

Objective: To appraise the connection of the poisoning severity score (PSS) who were admissioned with assess clinical severity and the prognosis. Methods: 50 acute poisoning patients were scored by PSS at the time of admission,pursued their state of an illness,visit their PSS score,and observed their prognosis.Results: 9 cases were given an initial poisoning severity score of 3, 6 cases died; 23 cases' score was 2, and 4 patients died, there was significant difference between the mortality(P0.05); 16 were graded 1, 2 were graded 0,no patient died. Conclusions:The PSS obtained at the time of admission is helpful in assessing accurately the clinical severity and the prognosis.
