Clinical observation of miquimod cream for decreasing recurrence of condyloma acuminatum

Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of miquimod cream by external application in the original skin lesion after wound healing for decreasing the recurrence rate of condyloma acuminatum.Methods:To routinely treat condyloma acuminatum(using laser to remove wart,combined with INF 3 millions unit intramuscular injection) and after healing of wound surface,miquimod cream was externally applied,with 30 d as a course.After one course,follow up was performed in regular intervals and the curative effects were evaluated after 3-month treatment.Results:Miquimod cream could significantly decrease the recurrence rate of condyloma acuminatum.Conclusion:Miquimod cream by external application can significantly decrease the recurrence rate of condyloma acuminatum with more economy and short treatment time,which is a treatment method worthy of being promoted in clinic.
