Abstract
The distributed computing technique is now widely used in software development, which makes the developing of large complicated network application more systematical. The Component Object Model-COM and Distributed Component Object Model-DCOM technology is one of the distributed computing techniques presented by Microsoft. This paper analyzes the distributed computing Architecture and principle based on COM/DCOM in detail, and puts forward some implementing methods of COM/DCOM components and 3-tier client/server application. Finally, illustrates these ideas by a 3-tier client/server application based on DCOM components.
