Abstract
The distributed computing technology is now widely used in software development, which makes the developing of large complicated network application easy. The Component Object Model-COM and Distributed Component Object Model-DCOM technology is one of the distributed computing techniques presented by Microsoft. This paper analyzed the distributed computing Architecture based on COM/DCOM in detail, and summarized some implementing methods of COM/DCOM components and 3-tier client/server application. Finally, and 3-tier client/server application based on COM components was given.
