Abstract

A strain of Thiobacillus ferrooxidans was isolated from the acidic wastewater of sulfide minerals in Yunnan.Research on the best growth conditions and growth kinetics indicated that the proper culture temperature for thiobacillus ferrooxidans was 25~30℃,the best growth initial pH was 2.0~2.5 and the best growth initial Fe2+ concentration was about 0.15 mol/L.The concentration is almost the same with that in 9K culture medium.
