Abstract
Aim To analyze the chemical constituents of fat-soluble components in Cornus officinalis.Method The fat-soluble components in the flesh of Cornus officinalis were extracted with petroleum ether by Soxlet extraction. The fat-soluble components were determined by GC-MS.Results There were thirty fat-soluble components detected, and twenty-four components were identified in Cornus officinalis, amounting to 93.63% in the total amounts of extractable substances. The major fat-soluble components of Cornus officinalis were found to be stigmasterol(21.30%),alpha-amyrin(14.69%),sitosterol(8.61%)and vitamin E(7.55%).Conclusion The olean-13(18)-ene,lanosta-8,24-dien-3-ol,3-acetate and urs-12-en-28-al are found in Cornus officinalis by GC-MS for the first time.
