Abstract
Objective: To investigate the relationship of the serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) level and systemic inflammatory response syndrome(SIRS) for patients with brain injury.Methods: A total of 69 patients with brain injury were divided into non-SIRS group and SIRS group.Peripheral blood hs-CRP concentrations were detected.Results: The hs-CRP levels of the SIRS and non-SIRS groups on 24 h,5 d and 10 d after injury were higher than those of the normal control group respectively(P0.05),the levels of 5 d and 10 d after injury in SIRS group were much higher than those in non-SIRS group(P0.05).Conclusion: The detection of hs-CRP is helpful in evaluating the possibility of developing SIRS and severity of SIRS in patients with brain injury.
