Abstract
Based on the development of PLA fiber, its dyeing is studied. The dyeability, dyeing rate and fastness of PLA fiber dyeing with 4 kinds of disperse dyes are discussed. The results show that pale shade is obtained with S style disperse dyes, while deeper shade can be achieved with E style, SE styles and special dyes for acetate fibers. The fastest dyeing rate is in the temperature range of 60 - 100 ℃. And it is preferred to dye PLA fiber at 110℃. Reduction clearing following dyeing can improve the soaping fastness and ironing fastness.
