Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of phacoemulsification with blue light filtering intraocular lens. Methods 100 patients aged from 55~70 ys suffered from cataract accepted the phacoemulsification and blue light filtering intraocular lens implantation, another followed 150 patients who received phacoemulsification but using general foldable single-piece intraocular lens as control group. The vision, chromatometry, contrast sensitivity were observed after operation and compared within 2 groups. Results In terms of vision, chromatometry, contrast sensitivity at post operation period on day 1,1 week,1 month,3 month, there were no significant difference between two groups(P0.05),however patients who received blue light filtering intraocular lens felt more comfortable. Conclusions The visual function of blue light filtering intraocular lens and general foldable single-piece intraocular lens is the same.Blue light filtering intraocular lens is safe, and the clinical effect is good.
