Abstract
Fluorine-contained finishing agent WR-1 was prepared and applied to nylon fabrics. The effects of pH value, cure temperature and time, and mass concentration of working solution on the performances of water-and oil-repellence were studied. The results showed that the optimum finishing processes were: pading with pickup 60%;The samples were cured at 170 ℃ for 60 s,pH value is neutral. When WR-1 was 3 g/L,water repellency was up to 90,and when WR-1 was 25 g/L,oil repellent reached level 5.Finished nylon fabric had little change in permeability, while breaking strength had decreased, tear strength improved. For endurance water and oil repellent products,an appropriate amount of crosslinking agent can be added to the working solution.
