Abstract
Caisson structure composite breakwaters are suitable built in offshore area with deep water and large waves. The stable weights and the applicability of the semi-circular, trapezoidal and rectangular caissons of the composite breakwaters are calculated and compared in the paper. It is shown that the semicircular caisson breakwater is a new type of structure which combines the advantages of caisson structure and conventional semi-circular breakwater. This new type breakwater will be used extensively in the future.
