Abstract
The principle of electromagnetically induced transparency in a three-level atomic system is studied by means of the semi-classical theory.Electromagnetically induced transparency is one of the quantum interference effects between the external field and the atomic system. The explanations of these phenomena are given by using the dressed states.Additionally, the subluminal light is accompanied by electromagnetically induced transparency.
