Abstract

Objective: To observe curative effects of acupuncture and herbs in the treatment for chloasma.Method: All 64 patients were randomized into the treatment group and the control group equally.The treatment group accepted the treatment of combined acupuncture with herb and the control group western medicine.Ten days were one course of treatment,and both groups were treated for three months to observe clinical effects.Result: Total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.75%,higher than 68.75% of the control group,the difference had statistical meaning in clinical efficacy(P0.05).Conclusion: Clinical efficacy of the combination of acupuncture and herb is superior to that of the medicine only for chloasma.
