Abstract

Potassium is an essential element in plant nutrition and plays a vital role in crop's yield and quality improvment. This paper briefly presents soil potassium form, content status and soil potassium balance, and analyzes the general situation of K resources. The effect of K fertilizer application and straw returning on soil potassium, yield and quality as well as stress resistance are summarized to provide a theoretical basis for reasonable K application and distribution.
