Observations on the Efficacy of Electroacupuncture plus Suspended Moxibustion over Baihui in Treating Cervical Vertigo

Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture plus suspended moxibustion over Baihui in treating cervical vertigo.Methods Seventy-eight patients with cervical vertigo were randomly allocated to a treatment group of 40 cases and a control group of 30 cases.The treatment group received electroacupuncture plus suspended moxibustion over Baihui and the control group,electroacupuncture alone.The therapeutic effects were evaluated after one course of treatment.Results The total efficacy rate was 95.0% in the treatment group and 84.2% in the control group;there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture plus suspended moxibustion over Baihui is an effective way to treat cervical vertigo.
