Abstract
In order to utilize wild native plants in urban landscaping of Wuhan city,the native plant species was systematically investigated in this project.The results showed that 444 species,288 genera and 116 families of wild vascular plants were found in this investigation.According to the ornamental traits,these species were divided into ornamental ferns,arbors,shrubs,lianes and herbages,and their utilization potentiality for landscape gardening was estimated.The plants with high ornamental value and little utilization were described detailedly their biological traits and the value of exploitation.Finally,some suggestions were presented on the exploitation and protection of these wild ornamental plant resources in Wuhan city.
