Abstract
Objective:To investigate the roles of IL-1α、IL-6、IL-8 and TNF-α in the pathogenesis of acne vulgaris. Methods:The serum IL-1α、IL-6、IL-8 and TNF-α were measured by ELISA.Results: Thirty-nine cases of acne vulgaris werestudied. The average concentration of serum IL-1α、IL-6、IL-8 and TNF-α were significantly higher in comparison with those of controls(P0.001 or 0.05).The level of IL-8 was significantly higher in patients with Ⅰ or Ⅱ degree of acne vulgaris(P0.01),but the level of TNF-α was significantly lower in those patients(P0.01).Conclusion:Serum concentration of IL- 1α、IL-6、IL-8 and TNF-α are elevated in patients with acne vulgaris and maybe closely associated with its etiology.
