Discussion on the make-up method and language function of euphemism

Abstract
Starting with the angle of linguistics and usage of languages, this paper discusses the make-up and function of euphemism. The author points out that the language function of euphemism is to avoid taboo and avoids incentive and hurting other people 's emotion to decorate oneself, to deceive the public and so on and that the euphemism can lead to the barrier of communication across culture.
