Abstract
Objective:To analyze of CT findings of neuroendocrine carcinoma of the mediastinum. Methods:CT manifestations of 6 patients with neuroendocrine carcinoma of the mediastinum confirmed through pathology were retrospectively analyzed in this work. Results:Of the 6 cases,4 were located in front-middle mediastium,2 in front-mediastium.The densities of tumor masses were non-uniform and appeared necrosis in all cases. An average diameter of tumor was up to 64 mm.4 cases presented with superior vena cava obstruction syndrome(SVCS),5 cases with tumor thrombus,5 cases with head and arm vein compression in the superior vena cava. Conclusion:CT can determine the location, size, shape, and range of neuroendocrine carcinoma of the mediastinum, thereby providing more valuable information for the operation.
