Chinese civil law of modern times was codified from the end of the Qing Dynasty to the period of Kuomingtang government of Nanjing.The causes for codification are transformation of modern society of China,historical choice of Chinese legal tradition,influence of mainland legal system codification and the inevitable result of urgent codification.
