Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the effects imposed by several relative factors on delayed encephalopathy after carbon monoxide poisoning.Methods:Statistic analysis was performed on 168 inpatients and outpatients with carbon monoxide poisoning who received hyperbaric oxygen therapy.Results:In 168 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning:38 cases had delayed encephalopathy after carbon monoxide poisoning,3 cases abandoned treatment and 34 cases were cured.Conclusion:The occurrence of delayed encephalopathy after carbon monoxide poisoning is relevant to such factors as follows:ages,the length of poisoning time,the extent to which one is poisoned,the time when one regains consciousness,the earliness of first-aid treatment and the length of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
