Abstract

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of multislice spiral CT angiography (MSCTA) for dissecting aneurysm of aorta. Methods MSCTA study was performed in 13 patients with dissecting aneurysm. The volume data was transferred to SGI workstation for image post-processing including MPR, SSD, MIP and VR (4D-Angio). Results The whole aorta and branches of 13 patients were demonstrated well by MSCTA. The true lumen, false lumen, intimal flap, location and extend of dissecting aneurysm were showed in all patients satisfactorily. Conclusion MSCTA is accurate, fast and effective for the diagnosis of dissecting aneurysm. [
