Abstract

Toxicities of nitenpyram against the 3rd instar nymphs of Nilaparvata lugens St?l and Sogatella furcifera Horvath, which were collected from Guangzhou local district, were evaluated by the rice stem-dipping method. The results showed that the LC50 values of nitenpyram to Nilaparvata lugens St?l and Sogatella furcifera Horvath were 0.613 mg/L and 0.891 mg/L,respectively.Field effect trials were carried out in 2010 and 2011.The results showed that nitenpyram 10% AS at 45 g/hm2 had better control effects on Nilaparvata lugens St?l and Sogatella furcifera Horvath. The efficacies were 84.28% and 82.50% on the 3rd day after spraying, and the efficacies were 86.80% and 87.60% on the 7th day after spraying in 2010 and 2011,respectively.
