Abstract

Objective To test the changes of immunoindicators before and after treatment in peripheral blood in patients with adenocarcinoma of rectum. Methods By using flow cytometry,68 patients in test group were tested for peripheral blood T cell subsets,NK cells and B cells before and after surgery, and after 6-cycles chemothrapy;and 40 in control group were tested too. Results Before surgery, the expression of CD8 and NK cell in test group was higher than that of control group, the difference was significant(P 0.01,P 0.05).After surgery, the expression of CD4,CD4/CD8 and B cells were significantly lower than before the surgery(P0.01,P0.01,P0.05),and CD8 expres-sion was significantly higher(P0.01).Compared to after surgery, after 6-cycles chemotherapy there were no significant changes in all the immunoindicators. Conclusion There's dysfunction of cellular immne system in patients with adenocarcinoma of rectum;surgery can suppress the immune system further;but chemotherapy don't suppress the immune system.
