Abstract
Imagist poetry at the threshold of the 20th century advocates writing poems through the adoption of clear and terse images,and the use of condensed and succinct language.By analyzing the connection and harmony between Chinese classic poetry and the principles of Imagist poetry,this paper expounds the great influence exerted on Imagist poetry by Chinese classic poetry and poetics.
