The Release of Taoist Holy Spirit of Politic Wisdom——Psychological Interpretation of Taoist Culture in Li Bai’s Poems

This paper holds that Li Bai’s poems hold in store the connotation of Taoism, and reveal the bourn of human life, while the bourn of Taoism lies in the exploration and understanding of the value of human life. The essence of Taoism-keeping quite and self-introspection-is to transcend our human desires, to realize our value of life, and therefore to achieve the harmony of our hearts and eventually to make the goal of “confining to Taoism” come true. All the personal experiences displayed in Li Bai’s poems demonstrate Taoism. After probing into Li Bai’s poems, we find that his thoughts were not the combination of Confucianism and Taoism, but a blueprint based on Taoism. Li Bai pursued the rule of “rendering outstanding service and being reclusive” throughout his whole life, whichis the soul of Taoism. It was based on the actual situation that Li Bai absorbed Taoist philosophy. His poems are practical and effective. He was one of those who had a better understading of Taoist philosophy and also one of those who could make practical use of it.
