On the Process of Theologizing Taoism and Its Influence on Poems About Immortality

Taoist school is a philosophy rather than theology. Its connection with Taoism comes from its theological properties, whose Tao is the fundamental base for Taoism' s immortality and becomes its highest theological philosophical categorization. Tao' s way to keep in good health is founded on the unique theory of human body structure, which becomes the theoretical origin of practicing Taoism; Tao is also the earliest creator of supernatural images, which becomes the direct source of the later Taoism. The process of theologizing Taoism is clearly demonstrated in the poems on immortality.
