Clinical Observation on Jiangni Hewei Decoction in Treatment of Nonerosive Reflux Disease

Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of Jiangni Hewei Decoction on nonerosive reflux disease(NERD).Methods:One hundred and sixty qualified NERD patients were equally randomized into the treatment group(n=80) and the control group(n=80).The treatment group was treated with Jiangni Hewei Decoction orally,one dose per day.The control group was given rabeprazole,10mg twice per day.The course of treatment lasted 8 weeks.Results:The total effective rate was 93.75% in the treatment group and 80.0% in the control group.After treatment,symptom scores were significantly decreased in both groups(P 0.01 compared with those before treatment).Improvement of clinical symptoms such as heartburn feeling,sour regurgitation,retrosternal pain and vomiting in the treatment group was more obvious(P 0.05 compared with that in the control group).Short-term therapeutic effect and recurrence after suspension for 3 months in the treatment group were superior to those in the control group(P 0.05).Conclusion:Jiangni Hewei Decoction exerts certain effect in treating NERD.
