Abstract

[Objective] To investigate the proliferation inhibitory effect of triptolide and cisplatin on osteosarcoma cells,so as to explore the new method of clinical therapy.[Methods] Triptolide and cisplatin were applied on the osteosarcoma cells MG63 respectively or jointly and the inhibition rate was measured by MTT assay.[Results] 1~125 μg/ml triptolide significantly inhibited the proliferation of MG63 cells(P(0.01));1~20 μg/ml cisplatin significantly inhibited proliferation of MG63 cells(P0.01);1~15 μg/ml triptolide combined with 1 μg/ml cisplatin had a marked inhibitory effect on MG63 cells(P0.01),moreover,after the joint application of 10~ 15 μg/ml triptolide and 1 μg/ml cisplatin, the inhibition rate became significantly higher than that of the respective application.Triptolide and cisplatin inhibited the MG63 cells respectively and jointly in a time-dependent manner.[Conclusion] Triptolide and cisplatin can inhibit the proliferation of osteosarcoma cells respectively or jointly.
